Learn with an experienced driving instructor

I'm Giles Blanch, a highly experienced, qualified and friendly driving instructor offering personalised driving lessons in Crawley and nearby.

I want to help you pass your test and drive alone safely and confidently. Each student learns at their own pace, so lessons emphasise key topics. Through open communication I aim to make lessons fun, clear, and effective. It is all about working as a team to achieve the best end result.

I offer lessons in 1 hour, 1½ hours, or 2 hours to accommodate your needs and schedule. Most progress-based students need 40–100 hours of tutorial before the test. Home, work, or school pickup is possible within a reasonable distance. Driving lessons are available in Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Burgess Hill, and nearby. Plan your learning journey with more information on driving lessons and block lesson packages.

Practical tuition for real roads

Your lessons are shaped around the situations you're likely to face as your skills grow. I can help you practise parking with patience, build confidence on motorways, and prepare for driving at night or in poor weather where appropriate. That kind of experience matters because real driving doesn't always happen on a bright, quiet afternoon. My focus stays on safe habits, clear judgement and steady progress, so you feel prepared for test day and the journeys that come after it.

Giles is a great driving instructor. He was very calm and logical with explanations. He was organised and I liked how he structured lessons to cover everything. Had a very happy learning experience and passed with 2 minors!

Why steady learning makes a difference

Confidence behind the wheel usually grows through repetition, not pressure. I teach at a pace that helps you take in each skill properly before moving on. That often leads to better decision making, smoother control and a more settled experience in the car. It also means you're learning habits that stay useful long after your test.
